Rafiq: Starred with both bat and ball
The visitors were set a target of 123 at Old Trafford, which they reached with just two balls to spare after some improvisational strokes from Azeem Rafiq.
The off-spinner scored two fours with paddle shots as Yorkshire secured the 10 runs they needed to win off Tom Smith's final over.
Smith had earlier claimed the scalps of both openers to reduce the away side to 34-2 before a 37-run stand between Adam Lyth and Anthony McGrath (18) steadied the ship.
However, the tide turned again as Yorkshire lost three more wickets in nine balls as seamer Luke Procter (3-22) dismissed McGrath for 28 and Gerard Brophy for a first-ball duck.
The panic subsided as Yorkshire built towards the 100 mark but were soon rocking again as Gary Ballance (14) lofted Procter to Karl Brown and both Richard Pyrah (six) and Adil Rashid (nine) were run out.
But that set up Rafiq to bring home the victory in his first match since returning from a loan spell at Derbyshire.
Yorkshire's spinners had dominated the Lancashire innings as they bowled a combined 12 overs for a total of 59 runs.
Rafiq starred with the ball as well, conceding just 15 runs and claiming the wickets of Paul Horton (11), Gareth Cross (four) and Jordan Clark (one).
Smith was trapped lbw for a duck in the opening over as he tried to reverse sweep Rashid before the spinners tightened their grip as skipper Steven Croft (six), Horton and Cross all fell in their bid to score quick runs.
The hosts were on 52-4 after 10 overs and things got worse for the home crowd as a mix-up between Moore and t20 debutant Karl Brown led to the run out of Moore for 34.
Brown (34 not out) and Procter (25no) ended the innings with a 60-run partnership to take the total to 122.
