Seamer James Anderson is set to be named on Sunday in England's squad for the third npower Test against Sri Lanka.

Jade Dernbach is also on course to be named in a squad of 13, which will also include the team which this week drew the second Test at Lord's.

Dernbach's inclusion would be a sensible safety-first policy, in case Anderson fails to recover completely from his minor side strain in time to play at the Rose Bowl on Thursday.

That way, England could be sure of having plenty of options - Dernbach the swing-bowling understudy to Anderson, along with a two-from-three ratio of the three tall fast bowlers who took the field in the second Test.

A fit Anderson - he will be out to prove his well-being for Lancashire at Worcester on Sunday afternoon - will probably come straight back into the team in place of Steven Finn, with seamers Stuart Broad and Chris Tremlett retaining their places in the attack.

Broad changes

Bob Willis says Stuart Broad should be the man to miss out in the third Test against Sri Lanka.
