Foxes foiled again by rain

Foxes foiled again by rain Grace Road: washed out

Leicestershire's Friends Life t20 match against Warwickshire at Grace Road was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Umpires Nigel Llong and Steve Garratt finally gave up hope of any play being possible at 3.15pm with heavy rain, that had started early in the morning, still falling.

The washed out fixture is a blow for the Foxes, who also saw their last home match - against current North Group leaders Nottinghamshire Outlaws - on Friday ruined by rain.

Matthew Hoggard's side will hope for better luck with the weather when they host Durham on Friday.

Warwickshire, meanwhile, are due to be back in action on Wednesday, with Worcestershire the visitors to Edgbaston.
